2014 The Corridor Pinot Noir

$69.00

Extremely Limited

An enigmatic, expressive pinot noir bursting with whole cluster red and dark fruit. Sleek and Vibrant with lively cherry, green tea, and stony mineral flavors. Aged 16 months in extra tight grain French oak puncheons and demi-muid.

Vintage

A warmer than normal spring followed by a warm dry summer resulted in ideal growing conditions throughout much of the season.  Cooler weather in the early fall preserved acidity in the fruit and slowed rapidly increasing sugars.  An early harvest saw abundant yields of clean, ripe, balanced fruit, with the potential for resulting wines of power, depth, and freshness.

Vineyard

A three-vineyard blend from Oregon’s Eola Amity Hills AVA

Fermentation

Seven-day cold soak maceration to increase gentle extraction of both color and flavor. Native and spontaneous fermentation upright oak vats and stainless steel tanks.  A combination of whole cluster and whole berry fermentation. Gentle press cycles.

Elevage

16-month elevage in extra tight grain Vosges and Center of France 500L and 600L large format French oak.  Gentle racking only at blending.
